Artwork Sales agreement clause

Copyright Retention and Artwork Care Agreement

Copyright Retention: The Artist retains all copyright and reproduction rights to the Artwork, including but not limited to the right to create, sell, or license any images, prints, or reproductions in any form. The sale of the original Artwork does not transfer these rights to the Buyer. Any use of images of the Artwork, including photographs or digital reproductions, requires written permission from the Artist.

Buyer Preservation Clause

The Buyer agrees to maintain, protect, and preserve the original quality and condition of the Artwork as created by the Artist. This agreement of trust includes the following obligations:

Proper Care and Handling: The Buyer shall handle, display, and store the Artwork in a manner that safeguards it from damage, deterioration, or any alterations. This includes avoiding exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, direct sunlight, or any other conditions that may harm the Artwork.

Protection from Unauthorized Alterations: The Buyer agrees not to alter, deface, or modify the Artwork in any way that could compromise its original quality, integrity, or artistic value. The Artwork shall remain in its original state as intended by the Artist.

Insurance Requirement: The Buyer agrees to obtain and maintain adequate insurance coverage for the Artwork to protect against loss, theft, or damage. Proof of insurance may be requested by the Artist to ensure that the Artwork is adequately protected.

Agreement of Trust: By purchasing the Artwork, the Buyer enters into an agreement of trust with the Artist to uphold and protect the Artwork’s integrity. The Buyer acknowledges the Artwork's cultural and artistic value and commits to preserving its condition for the future.
